Under 15's
Scorpions made all the early pressure when Stewart and Winter pounded the Haydock defence with some powerful runs. Downing also caused the home side great problems. Tierney kicked brilliantly keeping the Haydock side guessing what he was going to do next and he repeatedly sent high balls in to the Haydock half. Scorpions created many chances but couldn’t convert into points. Haydock regained possession and ran in several tries before Scorpions replied shortly before half time. Higgins powered over from close range after receiving the offload from Phelps. In the second half the hard work continued from the visitors with Joe Roberts distributing well feeding the ball to Revell, Butler and Walker before Stewart collected and went over for Scorpions second try. Danson had to leave the field in the second half with concussion, which left Scorpions struggling for the rest of the game. However they did come close on several occasions in the second half. Pick of the bunch were: Winter, Higgins, Butler and man of the match Stewart.
